Resolve issues preventing payment from customers, customers’ logistic agent, pay agent, broker or freight forwarders and coordinates the collection of funds.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage a pre-determined queue of accounts
Strive to properly communicate regularly and timely with assigned accounts
Oversee a large amount of past-due accounts, ranging in size of balance due
Provide excellent customer-service to all accounts
Make electronic notes of all actions taken on the account
Communicate with customers via the telephone or email to resolve disputes on accounts experiencing past due invoices
Follow up with Audit to insure any found errors have been corrected in a timely manner
Review check application and refunds for correct cash application
Follow up with Revenue Control to insure cash application correction was completed
Communicate special customer needs to other departments and follow up on completion of tasks
Prepare spreadsheets or other customized documents for customers to facilitate collection of funds
Send aging, documents, invoice recaps and other related information to customers
Coordinate collection efforts with NAE after all disputes and errors have been resolved
Review statements and daily shipment status reports for accuracy
Recommend credit removal for nonpayment or slow payment
Process credit card payments
Job Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalentExperience:
Prior collections experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Proficient with 10 key skill
Strong typing skills, 50 wpm preferred
Strong interpersonal and telephone skills
