Sourcing Project Manager Requisition ID: 36839 Job Location(s): Minneapolis, MN, US Job Description The Sourcing Project Manager role is based in Plymouth, MN within the Connect and Control Solutions (CCS) business unit of Danfoss Power Solutions. The Sourcing Project Manager will initiate, plan, and design sourcing projects with great execution and control to deliver on time while maintaining quality and cost targets. The Sourcing Project Manager will report directly to the CCS Procurement Manager and will work cross-functionally with global teams to manage all aspects of direct material savings projects for our electronic products for mobile machines. The CCS portfolio includes controllers, human machine interfaces like joysticks and displays and connectivity solutions. Our latest developments are targeted to help our customers solve the design challenges of autonomous machines. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Lead development/execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials and services to ensure optimal quality, cost productivity, fulfillment. Proactively and routinely drive spend analysis activities identifying strategic sourcing opportunities within assigned categories. Prepare various timely reports including cost savings, cost increases, quote/project analysis. Assist with the transition from a decentralized to a centralized indirect procurement function; prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals and vendor agreements. Develop both short and long-term strategy discussions concerning applicable direct materials and services. Required (basic) qualifications * Degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, project management, or other related field from accredited college or university combined with at least 5-7 years of experience in project management, engineering, procurement, operations, or technology. * Experience with electronics industry, components, Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's) and processes in general. * Qualified MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint Preferred qualifications * Procurement experience in a lean manufacturing environment working with electronics, PCBA, and mechanical categories. * Outsourcing, contract management, and strategic sourcing experience. * Certified Project Manager, ISM, APICS credentials.
