This individual is responsible forpre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting withprocedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. TheMedical Assistant/LPN is instrumental in helping the patient feel atease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient\'svisit. The Medical Assistant/LPN may be required to cross train andfloat as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties asassigned. Medical Assistant Qualifications: One to two years of clinicalexperience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the HealthcareProvider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 daysof hire. In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the followingcombinations of education and experience A. A graduate of a CAAHEP orABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma orCertificate). - Additional certification through the AAMA and/or anequal certification board or certification is preferred. B. A graduateof a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma,or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition toeducation, one (1) year of formal on the job Medical Assistantexperience preferred. C. Currently possess and are in good standing withat least one of the following credentials a. Certified Medical Assistant(CMA) - AAMA b. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT c. Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) d. Certified Clinical MedicalAssistant (CCMA) -NHA LPN Qualifications: One to two years of relatedclinical experience is preferred. Graduate of an accredited School ofPractical Nursing is required.
