As a Retail Supervisor, you will be a member of the Store Leadership Teamand assists the Store Manager in the effective running of the storeoperations. The Retail Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership anddirection to diverse associate level team members in the assigned area ofresponsibility. You will provide sales floor leadership to drive sales,sales floor replenishment, and customer service.HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCEOversees the day-to-day work of associate level staff; provides training,coaching, and direction to ensure associates complete tasks, processshipments, recover and replenish the sales floor, and serve consumers.Ensures associates perform cash register transactions (e.g., sales,returns, and exchanges) efficiently and accurately and connects consumersto company loyalty programs and solicits feedback though consumer surveys.Supervises and oversees assigned department of responsibility. Sharesdepartment needs and challenges with store leadership and helps create andexecute action plans to resolve.Collaborates with store leadership team to ensure accurate execution ofprocedures and compliance with company policies. Works to resolve any problemsor errors.Creates and maintains a store culture of teamwork; leads by example to highprofessional standards and demonstrates Columbia Sportswear Company values.YOU HAVENo specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)2-5 years of experience in position or specializationSkill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and variousother retail software tools.Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical andoperational problems.Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information withthe store leadership team, associates, and consumers.JOB CONDITIONSFrequently in a more active environment (i.e., requires the ability toconstantly move about) that can be physical or strenuous (frequentlyadjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently usespecialized equipment, may have exposure to dust and noise.Occasionally requires the ability to work in a place.Ability to communicate clearly with others.Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonallyand in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
