Job Description: The main function of a Solution Architect is to develop and deliver pragmatic business solutions that fulfill specific business objectives and service level agreements. This while balancing important concerns such as adherence to established practices, alignment with enterprise strategy, accountability to client's financial objectives, and working in a collaborative team environment. Value Proposition/Selling Points (Market place advantages): The Solution Architect will potentially be involved with one or more key 2024 initiatives for client and some with accelerated timelines. The Solution Architect role is key for defining and aligning the go-forward architecture. Key Responsibilities: Lead creation of conceptual and logical specifications for all layers of solution (people, process, technology, and information) through collaboration with business, enterprise, application, security, and infrastructure architects Develop architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support initial requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for client IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation of developed architectures and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems and any external interfaces Responsible for collaborating with enterprise architecture to develop enterprise artifacts for reuse by subsequent projects Required Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of service-oriented solution architecture experience working Applications, Data, Services and API initiatives Experience defining a variety of solution types, such as new system builds, legacy enhancements, build vs. buy analysis, integrating COTS software packages, Software as a Service or Platform as a Service as components of the solution Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments Direct experience with Agile Lean Architecture Strong collaborator with business and technical colleagues, adept at building rapport Additional Qualifications/years of experience: 10+ years of work experience in IT, including 5 years in software development or application architecture Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred Experience as a Solution Architecture, Application Architecture and Architecture Patterns Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages; Event Driven Architecture and Mesh Architecture Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients Preferred: Experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and/or Health Care domain Experience working with Claims Adjudication Experience working with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar Agile Processes Knowledge - Technology & Practices: Cloud Architecture Agile Architecture, SAFe Microservices Security Principles & Implementations Modern Web Development: Java, Angular, React, CICD (Jenkins), Test Driven Development, Git Databases: Relational, NoSQL DocumentDB, NoSQL Graph APIs (REST/SOAP/GraphQL) and API Design, Microservices, XML/JSON Docker and Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka Event Driven Architecture VMWare Tanzu / Pivotal Cloud Foundry Strong business skills and communication skills Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $90. 0-$95.00 We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
