Tracking Code2024003Job DescriptionCurrently, RG is looking to hire a Software Tester to support our Agile development project team in providing high-quality testing expertise and support in developing a commercial Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) solution. A successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of software testing principles and execution.To help make our team successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with or responsible for:Establishing a corporate software testing process and creating/maintaining testing plans for supported software productsProviding direction on software testing best practicesWorking within established development guidelines, standards, methodologies, and conventionsParticipating in quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedulesExecuting all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)Evaluating testing outcomes, reporting results and documenting findings according to current standardsEnsuring work product aligns with requirements/use cases and/or user storiesWorking with the team to develop and deliver training on the new featuresWorking with the development team to explain test findings and determine next course of actionBriefing the executive team on current status and results of test case creation and executionHow You Can Make A Difference:This role plays an important and vital part in mission success. They will be responsible for maintaining the software products and answering questions from the field concerning configuration and development issues as they relate to customer/client support.Required SkillsThe Software Tester is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG's solutions. They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.Required ExperienceTo be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.3+ years of professional technical experience2+ years of working in a software test environment executing manual and/or automated tests, fault identification, and reportingExperience in developing and maintaining tests plans/cases1+ years of Oracle query experienceThorough understanding of web and background process test methodologies and processesExperience in formal Software Development Lifecycle development efforts (including Waterfall, Spiral, and Agile)Experience in developing and maintaining a requirements traceability matrixEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to interact/communicate professionally and directly with the client/stakeholders/executivesAbility to guide and mentor other members of the teamNACI or ability to obtainBring the WOW Factor:In addition to our core requirements that are an absolute must for this role, we want to highlight some of the qualifications that we consider to "Bring the WOW Factor".
