The Opportunity:
Our Diagnostics business currently has an opportunity for a Software Integration Test Engineer . This position can be based in our Lake County, IL or Irving, TX office. The primary function of this position is to perform software integration testing for an automated IVD system used for blood and plasma screening.
What You’ll Work On:
Integration testing throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Heavily interacts with the development teams to ensure the right tests are being executed properly.
Collaborate with other Software Integration Test Engineers to develop integration test plans and test scenarios and perform the testing on the target instrument in the lab.
Complete software integration activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process.
Perform exploratory testing and system level end to end integration incorporating customer day-to-day scenarios.
Investigate and report unexpected events, issues, or software bugs. Verify fixes.
Travel requirement: minimal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
Good understanding of integration test methodologies.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
Preferred: Qualifications:
Experience performing software integration testing of complex electromechanical systems.
Experience working in the medical industry and in an FDA regulated environment is a plus.
Hands-on experience with complex diagnostic medical equipments; experience with Abbott IVD systems is a strong plus.
Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies.

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
