We are a software engineering team within the Academic and Government division , which helps research institutions track and analyze their research data records.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Lead, you will guide your team in crafting innovative features while also overseeing the maintenance of existing applications. You will partner with cross-functional technical teams to deliver successful projects in an Agile environment. You will take ownership of ensuring we implement high-quality exceptional software for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate as part of a tight-knit, agile, quality-focused team to design and deliver desired outcomes .
Engage in all aspects of the development lifecycle, apply best practices and create good quality software ensuring compliance with company standards for accessibility, security and privacy protection
Identify opportunities for improvement in the technical solution and implement changes alongside business requirements .
Leading and motivating team members to meet performance goals.
Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Requirements:
Overall Work Experience: 7 + Years
7-10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Profound knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
Deep hands on expertise with Java , Spring, Spring boot, Micro services , Distributed systems and databases ( PostgreSQL /MySQL) .
Display experience of software engineering design principles and architecture ( i.e. microservices, API-first, event-driven architectures, design patterns)
Demonstrate experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks especially React.
Solid experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Attention to detail and the ability to empathize with customers' needs.
A collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand complex product requirements and translate them into effective software designs.
A willingness to engage and communicate effectively with colleagues across various teams.
