Grounds Labor Supervisor - 4 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/24-11/30/24.

　　Employer: SDS Tree & Stump Removal, Inc. 1529 Division Street, Charlton, NY 12010

　　Duties: Directly supervise and coordinate activities of Grounds Laborers engaged in landscaping and tree care maintenance. Negotiate and review contracts to ascertain service, machine, and project requirements; answer inquiries from potential customers regarding tree care and landscaping services, methods, material, and price ranges; and prepare estimates according to labor, material, and machine costs. Establish and enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance and personnel safety. Schedule work for crews, depending on work priorities, crew or equipment availability, or weather conditions. Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained. Direct activities of workers who perform duties, such as landscaping, cultivating lawns, or pruning trees and shrubs. Oversee laborers in performing a wide range of tree care and grounds maintenance services, including pruning, trimming,raking, stump grinding, clearing, and chipping tree debris and disposing of tree debris. Supervise and train laborers in performing general landscaping and groundskeeping and landscape maintenance work.

　　Travel to work-site locations within Saratoga. Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer Counties of New York.

　　Must be able to lift 50lbs.

　　Employer will provide daily transportation to and from job sites from designated location: 1529 Division Street. Charlton, NY 12010

　　No education required. 3 months of experience.

　　Work hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm; (Saturday work required, when necessary) 40 hours/week at $28.42/hour. OT at $42.63/hour. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion bases on performance, skill, tenure.

　　Workers will be provided with board, lodging, or other facilities and/or the employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. Utilities may be provided free of charge in the employer facilities.

　　A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

　　Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

　　H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

　　Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
