Software Engineer Production Support

　　Our client is seeking a Software Engineer Production Support for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule.

　　Contract Duration: 6 Months

　　Required Skills & Experience

　　2 to 4 years of hands-on programming experience as a Senior Engineer.

　　1 years of RESTful APIs / Server-side development experience using microservices architecture using Spring boot or Node.JS.

　　Strong experience in supporting Java-based applications in a production environment.

　　Substantial background in backend development, including Java.

　　Exposure to any scripting language for automation and support tasks.

　　Solid understanding of application servers, databases, and backend technologies.

　　Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Nagios, or ELK.

　　Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

　　Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

　　Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

　　Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

　　Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

　　Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

　　Knowledge in API security frameworks, token management and user access control including OAuth, JWT, OpenAPI, etc.

　　Ability to work in an Agile / SCRUM environment.

　　Strong writing and communication skills.

　　Experience working for large scale enterprise applications.

　　Desired Skills & Experience

　　Certification in Java.

　　Knowledge of incident management, problem resolution, and ITIL processes.

　　Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS.

　　Experience in developing NoSQL and SQL databases, designing data models, proficient in querying data for quality, analysis, analytics, and ad hoc reporting.

　　What You Will Be Doing

　　Identify Issue patterns.

　　Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing data/application/interfaces.

　　Assist during support hours of operation and during off hours for production emergencies.

　　Respond to and act on Alerts within SLA

　　Perform level of effort estimates for assigned tasks and change orders.

　　Identify root causes for technical issues in production.

　　Develop code updates to fix reported defects.

　　Follow the production support best practices.

　　Comfortable with handling night alerts in shifts

　　Key role in maintaining the stability and performance of applications, while also leveraging your backend development skills to enhance and optimize these systems.

　　Collaborate closely with backend development teams to diagnose and address application defects and performance bottlenecks.

　　Monitor application health, performance, and availability, taking proactive measures to ensure optimal operation.

　　Document support procedures, best practices, and incident resolutions.
