We are seeking a high performing Engineer Manager to play a meaningful role in the furthering Nike Greater China’s User Service Membership Capabilities. Lead the team with a focus on User Service Membership to provide Nike’s most passionate members and consumers access to our most coveted products. You will be encouraged to utilize your expertise to influence the broader organization’s strategy regarding bots and fairness!

About the Team

We provide secure, scalable, and user-friendly login and registration experiences for all Nike frontend platforms

We provide authentication authorization solutions for both consumer-facing server-to-server scenarios

We provide solutions to help data compliance with regulations

We implement social linking (login) integrations with GC local platforms like DouYin/WeChat/JD

We owned a tiering reward system that will provide member benefits to GC consumers

Role and Responsibilities

As Software Engineer II in the team:

Build and implement a software solution based on given high-level design and requirements, test and verify the solution independently

Troubleshoot and investigate root causes of software issues in each system

Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to implement/verify a technical solution from end to end

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software engineering/electric engineering or other related areas

Fluent oral, reading and writing in English

3-8 years of working experience in software engineering

Experienced with one or more of the popular programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript/Java/Python/Go

Solid knowledge about computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms, computer networking, etc.

Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases

Basic knowledge authentication, identity management, and security protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).

Basic knowledge of cloud services and cloud infrastructure

Basic experience with DevOps processes and tools

Working experience with frontend framework like Next.js is a plus
