　　The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) Test Engineering Division (TEN) is currently seeking a Software Engineer for the Electromagnetic Warfare Training Branch (EWTB). EWTB develops Department of Defense (DOD) Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) solutions and training courseware and solutions with a specific focus on operational application of EW tactics, techniques, and procedures. In addition to training products, EWTB also performs assessments and direct support to DOD elements involved in EW operations. This opportunity within EWTB will provide direct software and reprogramming support to 55th Electronic Combat Group (ECG), EC-130H Compass Call customers on site at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), Tucson, AZ. This position will also support the new EA-37B Compass Call (modified Gulfstream G550) cross-deck platform.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Perform software development, debugging, modification, enhancement, and documentation

　　Design, test, and develop computer software in order to meet program requirements

　　Apply expertise in computing systems to define requirements and develop software designs recognizing limitations of target hardware platforms

　　Develop and maintain kernel and user-level software and scripts

　　Contribute to research reports, presentations, white papers, and competitive proposals

　　Create and analyze network protocols

　　Additional Responsibilities

　　Apply software coding expertise (C, C++, C#, Python, and Matlab) container development with Docker and Kubernetes, edge or embedded programming, and distributed systems in Compass Call Software Defined Radio (SDR) and other mission systems to update and/or develop EW missionware applications

　　Design and support an Agile development workflow in support of the Compass Call

　　Utilize or program SDR missionware applications, develop Compass Call EW jamming waveforms, and program commercial test equipment to test missionware

　　Write and/or conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test procedures for jamming technique verification

　　Utilize Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment to generate and verify Compass Call jamming signal types

　　Apply configuration management techniques to operational mission data / missionware software

　　Participate in deployment of mission software to operational Compass Call aircraft

　　Participate in Compass Call laboratory, aircraft ramp testing, and flight testing as a mission data expert

　　Perform job duties while embedded in a United States Air Force (USAF) operational unit, 55th Electronic Combat Group (ECG), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), Tucson, AZ

　　Interface with Compass Call aircrew, intelligence, and maintenance to understand operational requirements and provide or receive training materials
