　　The Amazon Display Protocols team is looking for a experienced and passionate leader to manage and grow the team and help change the way people use interactive graphics applications in the Cloud!

　　We are developing state of the art, low-latency streaming protocols which provide our customers with a secure way to deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device, over varying network conditions.

　　AWS services like Workspaces, AppStream 2.0, as well as many customers around the world, leverage our technology to run interactive applications remotely on EC2 instances, and stream their user interface to simpler client machines.

　　You will be part of a distributed engineering team with members both in the US and Italy. This position is for candidates who would like to join our team in Italy, in our office in Asti.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　You will be part of an international team building technologies and products, like NICE DCV (https://aws.amazon.com/hpc/dcv) and the Workspaces Streaming Protocol (https://aws.amazon.com/workspaces/wsp).

　　As one of the technical leaders, you will be responsible for the overall development life-cycle and for the translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules.

　　You will be managing and growing a best-of-class engineering team, with the goal of delivering high-quality results on-time and on-budget and driving adoption of the best engineering practices.

　　You will partner with our GM, the product managers, and the other tech leader in the organization to own the long term strategy for our products and services and drive the execution of our roadmap.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar, or comparable years of experience

　　Proven skills in designing and developing solutions to complex problems in a large scale enterprise environment

　　Several years experience managing high performing software development teams with varying degrees of seniority

　　Proven technical credentials with hands-on architectural or systems design experience

　　Mastery of the tools of the trade, including familiarity with modern programming languages (i.e. Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Rust, Scala)

　　A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience with large scale distributed systems

　　Experience with remote display protocols (Citrix, PCoIP, VNC, HP-RGS, Spice, MS-RDP, etc.)

　　Experience with multi-media streaming

　　Familiarity with AWS platform

　　Excellent verbal and written communication skills

　　Contribution to a major open-source project

　　Previous experience with protocol design and implementation
