About Software Development Manager

  Job Description

  Manage a team to maintain software products across multiple development teams. Coordinate effective deployment of software feature updates, improves deployment automation and efficiency and contributes to improved documentation and procedural guidance. Guide response to incidents to direct efforts to minimize internal and external customer impact. Support a 24/7 on-call manager rotation and be able to respond to cloud network operation center within prescribed SLA. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

  Required Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI and be willing to obtain Polygraph Government Security clearance

  • Associate degree in computer related field, or 1-3 years’ work experience.

  • 1-4 Years experience with Linux, cloud infrastructure support and server administration.

  • 1-4 Years experience with managing secured services across distributed systems and geographies.

  • Customer obsession, passion for delighting customers.

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains and then train others.

  • Great verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts, platforms, and distributed systems.

  • 1-4 years leading a team in a technical field, especially supporting 24/7 operation schedules.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 - 8 years leading a team in a technical field, especially supporting 24/7 operations

  • Experience managing a contingent workforce

  US: Hiring Range: from $79,700 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
