About Software Development Engineer, AWS WorkSpaces Web

  Description

  AWS WorkSpaces Web team is looking for a strong software development engineer to join our ranks. We are actively building new features using AWS technologies that re-shape the way customers browse, discover, and consume web content.

  We operate like a startup in a big company - our engineers work closely with product management and user experience designers to build best-in-class services and apps. Our engineers are owners who identify, define, and build solutions that delight millions of customers every day. We are building our organization based on smart people, diversity of perspective and experience, and looking for individuals with a “can-do” attitude who love to tackle hard problems.

  What you'll do:

  · Be an integral part of an exceptionally talented team. Working in a fast paced environment with rapid feature delivery to our customers.

  · Brainstorm, build and ship new and exciting features that revolutionize the way people browse the web. You have the opportunity to own features/experiences from inception to delivery.

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  San Francisco, CA, USA | Santa Clara, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  Preferred Qualifications

  3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
