Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building services that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.

We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems and highly available services. Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:

Java and Golang;

Agile Development including Scrum or Kanban;

Developing services in a modern cloud IaaS provider;

Microservice application design and development;

Continuous integration/deployment pipelines;

Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, including SMTP, REST, SSL and HTTP

Database management systems such as Oracle DB or other NOSQL technologies;

Data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $73,700 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
