Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for a Software Developer III with a Top Secret Clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid opportunity.

The Developer will maintain and development network, and network server platform software supporting US government IT systems, preferably DoS user groups, throughout the continent of Africa.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install, configure and support enhanced performance, to reduce downtime and operating costs. Data Domain Restorer installation and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support.
Support for virtualization, Netapp Filers, HP servers, switching and routing, Data Domain and Avamar appliances.
Support network server platform software and corporate and custom applications (Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010, Microsoft Systems Management Server, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Advance Server, SQL 2005/2008.
Architect and implement Enterprise Content Management solution using KnowledgeLake software.
Technical support for Nintex Workflow software. Design and install storage area networks, including Network Appliance NetFilers.
Design and Develop Disaster Recovery systems to include replication of data offsite.
Work with embassies on continuity of operations planning.
Manage deployment and billing of satellite based data and voice systems, as well as troubleshoot deployed devices.
Implement and review security procedures and requirements to ensure the networks are compliant with Diplomatic Security standards.
Provide technical consulting to include performing requirements analysis, providing solution options, developing plans for implementation of network based projects. The contractor will work with IRM/TWD, AF/GSO and other entities involved in effecting the solution Provide SQL administration for corporate applications, as well as maintaining custom developed applications.
Install, configure and support new networks for AF’s conferences and fully administer all systems at conferences, domestic and overseas; e.g. establishing a temporary network at a hotel in support of a Management Officers’ Workshop or Budget Workshop.
Provide specialized training to other technical staff as required. This could involve training on specialized satellite based mobile communication devices, backup/disaster recovery software, and other hardware/software devices for which there is no other mechanism for training.
Administer Microsoft SMS on the network.
Assist in analyzing the administrative processes and programs relevant to the client’s information systems assets.
Assists in the design, acquisition, modifications and evaluation of existing network security configurations. Other related tasks as assigned by AF/EX management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience with conference IT preparations and administration.
Demonstrated experience in server administration with Windows Advance Server 2003/2008.
Demonstrated experience with Network Appliance Filers.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco Aironet bridges.
Demonstrated experience with KnowledgeLake Enterprise Content Management.
Demonstrated experience with EMC’s Data Domain Restorers.
Demonstrated experience with EMC’s Avamar software and hardware.
Familiarization with overseas post operations and networks.
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint 2010.
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Designer and familiarity with Nintex.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco switches and routers.
Demonstrated experience incorporating JAVASCRIPT, VBSCRIPT, ASP, HTML, and other coding languages into the development of interactive web pages.
Knowledge of SQL.
Basic knowledge and experience with personal computers running Windows 7.
Experience with PC workstation operations in a Microsoft Office environment including MS Internet Explorer, FrontPage, MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, etc., as well as knowledge of XP system internals such as the registry.
Demonstrated knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom DVC equipment.
The ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing.
Specific knowledge and background supporting US government IT systems, preferably DoS user groups, throughout the continent of Africa is required.
Bachelor degree required or at least ten years of combined degree and systems experience. Preferred Master degree in information systems field and at least 15 years’ experience.
Must be a US Citizen with a current active Top Secret Clearance
