　　The Mission of the Device Cloud Services (DCS) Cerulean team is to make Amazon Earth’s most trusted device and cloud services provider by delivering innovative privacy technologies that seamlessly integrate into customers’ lives. We accomplish this by building foundational services that enable developers to offer customers full control over their data access and use, and honor this promise without compromising on experiences.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　Our vision is to build and operate Cerulean as a service offering, which scales for developers by offering hardened APIs, client SDKs, self-service tooling, self-sufficient developer documentation, and troubleshooting tools. You would contribute directly in executing this vision. As Software Dev Engineer 2, you will work on most complex problems like preserving the customer promise of privacy even on the most constrained devices (in terms of memory and processing power) or proving the customer privacy promise even on Cloud assisted device features. You will be working on exciting customer problems and room for ground up innovation

　　Design, implement, and deploy software components and features using solid understanding of design approaches to solve challenging problems generating positive feedback.

　　Demonstrate ability to work independently and inter-dependently as needed.

　　Produce high quality work with a focus on operational excellence (e.g. architectural designs, uneventful code reviews/pull requests, efficient, testable, secure and maintainable code, documentation etc.)

　　Make improvements to the team's development and testing processes.

　　Recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.

　　Train junior colleagues about the team's customers, services etc.

　　The Device Cloud Services Cerulean Team is specialized in building foundational platform solutions that is targeted at different Amazon devices and contribute to critical customer experiences that meets high bar of security and privacy requirements for the customers.

　　Collaborative team of PMTs, TPMs,SDE3s, SDE2s and SDE1 engineers working on Fire OS, Android , iOS and Cloud Technologies spread across India and US locations

　　Basic Qualifications

　　3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

　　2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

　　Experience programming with at least one software programming language

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
