Software Application Engineer

　　The role:

　　Software Application Engineer designs and configures solutions based on customer specific requirements and agreed specifications, performs testing of the configured solution, technical documentations, and installations until completion of the customer agreed solution.

　　What you will do:

　　Responsible in reviewing final Solution Proposal Document and converts it into a Software Application Design Specification that contains complete software functionalities, project deliverables and acceptance criteria.

　　Execution of solution engineering process and its activities. Ensure that software application configuration is according to the agreed project plans, budget and meets customer expectations.

　　Utilize the Pre-configured Solution Template as the base for software application configuration and configure it according to the approved Software Application Design Specification.

　　Responsible for performing in-house testing of the configured software application; escalating any out-of-scope functionality requested by customer to immediate manager for approval.

　　Responsible for configured software application, performs SAT, End User Trainings and supports Go Live.

　　Support and resolve software related issues encountered during testing, installation and commissioning (SAT).

　　Responsible for Project handover to Global Helpdesk team.

　　What you need to have:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

　　At least 3 years of exposure in software development lifecycle and project delivery methodology possessing the technical competencies as follows:

　　Configuration of PC-based software solutions, able to test, install and validate performance against project deliverables

　　Various .NET programming languages, expertise on VB.NET.

　　Proven experience on Relational Databases (MS SQL), use of SQL Reporting service

　　Prior documentation skill is a MUST

　　Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills and able to interact with diverse, cross-cultural stakeholders

　　Basic understanding of IT / networking and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and hardware

　　Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment

　　Knowledgeable in manufacturing and supply chain automation is a plus

　　The position involves approximately 10% - 25% of travel, on average, and includes domestic and international travel. This involves traveling to customer sites, possibly involving air travel.
