The social work program at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN seeks applicants for a full-time faculty member to serve as field director and faculty in our CSWE-accredited social work program. This position requires a master s degree in social work and a minimum of two years post masters experience to fill this professionally prepared continuing appointment. Conversion to a tenure-eligible position is possible. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and level of experience. Position to begin August 2024. The position involves teaching, directing the field program for social work internships, placing and supervising students in internship, advising social work majors, service to the college and community, and engaging in scholarly activities that promote professional growth and development. Candidates should have the ability to teach social work courses across the social work curriculum and participate in program development. Candidates whose teaching, research, and/or other professional practice activities focus on diverse and under-represented populations, and who are interested in facilitating diversity-related learning opportunities for students are highly valued by the program and the college. The social work program is CSWE accredited and is part of Concordia s newly launched School of Health Professions which operates out of a vision to expand quality interprofessional education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Building upon the college s commitment to integrated learning and community engagement, the social work program works with community partners to implement applied, community-based learning across all its courses to advance student learning and professional competence. Our graduates pass the licensure test at rates higher than the national average and advance to a variety of professional social work positions in the upper Mid-West and beyond and/or advance to graduate school.
