Summary
Cotton is searching for a skilled and equipped Social Media Manager for our diversified line of brands in disaster solutions, commercial restoration, construction & roofing, temporary support services, culinary and more. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Manager is responsible for developing a social media strategy, creating and posting engaging content and analyzing social performance. Candidates must be creative self-starters and work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Creating a social media strategy
Staying up-to-date on the latest updates and algorithm changes for major social media platforms, like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and X
Staying on top of current culture and trends
Collaborating with the Marketing team to strengthen the Cotton brand through strong posts that build understanding and drive results
Researching, developing and producing various types of engaging social media content
Ensuring that content is tailored to target audience segments while staying consistent with brand standards and voice
Posting all posts through an online scheduler (Hubspot)
Managing all social media platforms for our various brands, including monitoring, responding to comments and DMs, etc.
Analyzing social performance and pivoting on strategy when necessary
Communicating effectively with team members and leadership
Traveling to events and capturing/creating content for social media
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3-5 years of social media experience
Familiarity with copywriting, storytelling and content design/creation
Familiarity with advertising agencies or in-house marketing departments
Knowledgeable of B2B sales and marketing techniques
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Familiarity with promoting, highlighting and recapping events on social media
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical, planning and storytelling skills
Ability to write illuminating and clarifying messaging
Ability to create compelling designs and content that follow brand standards and guidelines
Reliable and dependable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed
Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
FOR JOB CONSIDERATION:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English or equivalent preferred but not required. Proficient in Windows and Macintosh platforms, as well as all major social platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn. Proficiency with Microsoft programs, Google Drive and Dropbox a plus.
