Position Summary
Plan, coordinate and support daily operations of hazards as it relates to jobsite safety, health and environmental protection functions. Coordinate, implement and monitor Precision Concrete safety program at one project location.
Essential Job Functions
Duties include, but will not be limited to
Perform daily site inspections.
PTP – meet daily.
PPE – meet daily.
Lead Stretch & Flex and provide information to company personnel regarding safety requirements.
Organize pre-job safety planning meeting to plan for potential hazards and problems prior to start of job.
Conduct routine investigations of all job sites and equipment to ensure compliance with company and regulatory agencies requirements; and assessing hazards and coordinating corrective action when necessary.
Investigate property damage and accidents.
Investigate and record employee injury reports.
May escort employee for treatment and medical evaluation.
Copy appropriate concerns and provide follow up support.
Inspect jobsites to ensure company safety program and OSHA compliance.
Investigate and analyze bodily injury and property damage accidents. Coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors.
Assist with weekly foremen’s and monthly superintendent’s safety meetings.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Two to three years of experience in Construction Safety.
Knowledge of construction safety requirements, plus thorough understanding and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company regulations.
Ability to observe and evaluate varied construction conditions.
Ability to read, comprehend and implement regulations. Skill in teaching techniques. Personal maturity is an important attribute.
Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required. Ability to investigate/analyze critical situations in a non-emotional manner is vital.
Must be able to travel regionally.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be interested in becoming part of a team and not just a “9 to 5″ person.
Experience
Knowledge of construction and/or industrial safety requirements, plus thorough understanding and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company regulations.
Skills
Ability to observe and evaluate varied construction conditions. Ability to work within precise standards of government regulations. Ability to read, comprehend and implement specifications, regulations and technical data. Skill in teaching techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills. Equipment To Be Used
Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment such as fax, calculator, document reproducing equipment and communications equipment. Position also requires a valid driver license and must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Typical Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending and a normal range of hearing and vision. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires working outdoors with low to moderate physical exertion. Must be able to climb ladders and tread through jobsite terrain.

Must perform under stressful conditions and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make decisions under pressure. Must be able to communicate, orally and written, in a professional manner. Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.
Working Conditions
May be required to work some overtime. Variable work conditions include typical office setting as well as the outdoors. May involve some travel.
