Job Description

　　A global edge-to-cloud company is looking for two SRE resources to join their team supporting an internet technology & video customer within their data center. The role can be mostly remote but within driving distance to one of their offices in Culver City, CA, Mountain View, CA, or Bellevue, WA. The client is a leader in cloud technology and data protection globally. They have won numerous awards such as Great Place to Work's Best Workplace for Parents 2023, named a Leading Inclusion Index Organization, one of their labs was selected for TIME's Best Inventions of 2023, 1st place in the 100 Best Corporate Citizens.

　　This SRE will be the main point of contact for resolving incidents, providing on-call ticket response, the first point of contact for escalations, and doing performance monitoring. The core skills are Unix Linux systems administration/Support, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Nginx, ipvs, ELK stack, and Hadoop.

　　Responsibilities include:

　　Data monitoring and alerting, data quality assurance and anomaly detection.

　　Document team processes and policies, including methods of engagement and SLOs.

　　Analyze, design, and implement solutions at the system level to remove bottlenecks and improve edge service performance.

　　Implement monitoring and alerting to improve issue detection and response.

　　Work in a fast-paced environment. Participate in technical operations and rotations in response to performance and reliability issues.

　　Participate in on-call rotations, responsible for resolving or escalating incoming events

　　Maintain and operate a Linux and Kubernetes environment.

　　The Ideal Candidate will have experience with system operations and running large-scale, massively distributed infrastructure.

　　Customer has a hybrid office policy. Contractors are remote, but the policy may change at some point in the future. Candidates must be Pacific time and within commuting distance to one of the following cities:

　　Location 1: Culver City

　　Culver City, CA 90230

　　Location 2: Mountain View

　　Mountain View, CA 94041

　　Location 3: Seattle

　　Bellevue, WA 98004

　　Skills and Requirements

　　3+ years experience working with Unix Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond with (strong Linux administration

　　production support environment and ability to triage issues

　　Experience working with system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.

　　Experience reading python scripts for platform operations.

　　networking technologies such TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, etc. in a carrier-grade environment.

　　Experience in developing and operating one or more of following systems: OpenStack, Kubernetes, Nginx, ipvs, ELK stack, Hadoop, etc.

　　Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields, with at least 2 years of related work experience. * Devops null
