Job Summary
Our Sidewalk Team is responsible for removing snow and ice on assigned residential or commercial sites on an "as needed" basis. Sidewalk Team work is on-call consisting of irregular hours between mid-November and the end of March as required by the weather with a potential for full-time, seasonal landscaping work in the spring, summer, and fall. Sidewalk Team members must be available and committed to work with very short notice at all times of the day and night using a variety of tools and equipment.Job FunctionsUse sidewalk equipment and hand shovels to clear snow and iceKeep all walking areas (walkways, paths to propane tanks, garage and door entryways etc.) cleared of snow and icethroughout the eventApply sand/salt when necessaryDocument the usage of materialsWork in a safe manner using all available PPE, dressed appropriately for severe weatherPerform routine pre and post-storm inspections to insure safety and reliability of equipment, reporting necessary repairs to the supervisor immediately.Other duties as assigned which may or may not be directly related to the position
