HE Rentals has an immediate opening for a Shop Mechanic. Our ideal Shop Mechanic is one that is looking to grow their career personally, professionally, and financially.

HE Rentals Shop Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on different forms of aerial and earthmoving heavy equipment. Training is provided.

Shop Mechanic Responsibilities:

Mechanical Expertise: Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.

Electrical and Hydraulic Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.

Diesel Systems: Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.

Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.

Shop Mechanic Preferred Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) to seven (7) years of relevant experience is necessary.

Training: Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.

Equipment Experience: A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.

The pay range for this position starts at $32/hr. The final wage will be determined based on the individual’s skill, knowledge, and ability.
