Shipping & Receiving Specialist
Position Summary
We are a global supplier of structural parts such as precision components, kits, and assemblies for the aerospace industry.
We are hiring 3-4 Shipping and Receiving Specialists who will be able to complete a variety of material receiving, warehousing, and shipping tasks associated with raw materials and finished goods.
1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5am-1:30pm2nd Shift:[]{#_Hlk140581929}Monday-Thursday, 1:30pm-12am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Represent the company in a professional, courteous, and effective manner.Effectively communicate with production control while determining shipping priorities using established lists.Cooperatively participate in production meetings, ensuring that issues delaying on time delivery are resolved and action plans are effectively carried out.Issue detail parts for assembly work orders.Maintain accurate inventory counts and stores locations using the MRP II (Proman) system.Cycle count parts and/or accurately count physical inventory.Use MRPII (Proman) system to produce purchase orders for outside processing operations.Use MRP II (Proman) efficiently and effectively to produce pack slips and other shipping documentation.Accurately produce company certification of conformance documents effectively and efficiently.Accurately part mark to drawing specifications and be able to identify and accurately use the appropriate part marking equipment.Maintain strict adherence to standard work procedures by using barcodes, saved shipping formats, adding new part numbers, and correcting existing ones.Unload and load trucks using fork lifts and pallet jacks. Must be able to band materials in preparation for shipping.Complete packaging parts, boxing, address labeling, bills of lading, barcodes, and other paperwork.Maintain good attendance per policy each attendance year.Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required1+ years of shipping and receiving experienceWork independently with minimal technical instruction.Complete receiving and shipping documents neatly and accurately and ensure that parts are packaged to avoid shipping damage.Some blueprint reading skills, specification knowledge, and shipping best practices are required.Some knowledge of MRP II and related production scheduling activities.Possesses some Lean Manufacturing knowledge regarding TAKT Time, Cycle Time, Pull Production, Kanbans and Visual Controls.Demonstrated ability to adapt Lean Concepts into improved procedures.Physical requirement: able to lift up to 50 lbs
