Shift Supervisor, Fermentation

　　As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing all resource-related aspects of the shift operation of the Fermentation building. You will also be responsible for producing quality chemical intermediates and finished products according to a pre-determined operations plan.

　　Your Key Responsibilities

　　Manage and supervise the shift operation of the Fermentation Plant. Provide leadership and direction for the Production department. Develop motivated and competent staff. Ensure effective and open communication.

　　Manage morale and motivation and establish an environment where the shift teams can flourish and develop themselves. Create an open culture with dialogue and feedback.

　　Select, manage, coach, and develop staff (training, validation of training, appraisal) in line with HR requirements and procedures.

　　Completes and reviews Annual Performance Review for direct reports.

　　Issues discipline if needed according to company policy and guidelines.

　　Make proposals for rewards and sanctions.

　　Enforce compliance with the production organization requirements, Manufex work processes, and other rules and regulations.

　　Manage shift schedule, overtime, on-call list, time-off requests, and timecards for direct reports.

　　You bring

　　High School Diploma or Equivalent work experience

　　5-year manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.

　　Ability to work and lead a team in a rotating shift pattern, coordinate multiple resources with minimal supervision, and coach and develop staff is required.

　　Understanding of statistical process control, key performance indicators, and key operating parameters, and how to use those to drive Safety, Quality, and Delivery in the production environment.

　　Understanding of root cause analysis tools and experience with problem solving/troubleshooting.
