The ServiceNow Trainer works with the ServiceNow software development team, users, and other stakeholders to develop training plans, packages, and performs on-line and face-to-face training in support of the ITSM, ITOM, and Service Catalog software deliveries. The successful candidate creates, delivers, and maintains knowledge articles and training videos that are aligned with the capabilities and changes that the engineering and development team deploys.
Position Responsibilities:
Define learning plans, lesson plans, handouts, and slide presentations
Plan, organize, and conduct training sessions
Coordinate training engagements with other trainers and the scrum team(s)
Perform training requirement analysis and work independently to develop training plans, lesson plans, and communications
Facilitate engaging classes, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for the trainees
Document and analyze training results and survey reports
Collect and report training results to the customer and stakeholders regularly
Accurately estimate training efforts for project planning and tracking
Collaborate with training team members and others to update a mid to long term training roadmap that provides awareness of the upcoming training engagements to stakeholders
Lead or assist the scrum team with technical artifacts including the Requirements Traceability Matrix, System Design, Use Cases, and Knowledge Articles as needed
Create and update knowledge articles and videos to train users on the capabilitiesand enhancements that the teams deploy
Provide feedback to the scrum teams related to software ease of use, user experience and performance
Engage in a continuous learning path to increase knowledge and understanding of the ServiceNow platform and the capabilities that the development team delivers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and/or work experience
Hands-on experience leading virtual and in-person training engagements
Hands-on experience in developing lesson plans and training plans
Experience working with multiple teams and coordinating training needs and efforts for various and simultaneous projects
Hands-on experience planning, organizing, and developing training artifacts and conducting and facilitating training sessions
Demonstrated initiative and ability to start, develop, and complete short- and long-term projects
Ability to work independently, anticipating needs, and being proactive
Familiarity with software development life cycle
Excellent technical writing skills to develop documentation that aligns with deployments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or other service delivery products
Experience working in an Agile development or environment
