PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have ServiceNow implementation experience to be considered for this position. WORK SCHEDULE
100% FTE – 40 hours per week
Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 07:00 – 16:00 (PST), Monday-Friday POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Designing and planning a ServiceNow Program that supports the organization and its senior leaders in furthering the mission of patient care, research, and teaching.
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the product lifecycle.
Partnering with internal teams and customers by guiding discussions and decisions around design and implementation of ServiceNow projects, including management of custom solutions for more complex requests within ServiceNow.
Coordinating with vendors and teammates, managing budget and risk, tracking contractual commitments, and partnering with clients, to ensure the successful delivery of large software systems and solutions utilizing ServiceNow.
Operationalizing high impact program strategies and procedures that drive growth and business improvements.
Engaging with the customers to gather requirements, providing regular program updates, and ensuring the team is building the correct solution.
Owning programmatic product lifecycle by maintaining a strong understanding of business strategic initiatives, current systems, and pain points, and developing solution proposals for the required support.
Organizing and coordinating program objectives while navigating requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges.
Assessing and operationalizing product backlogs.
Monitoring progress, mitigating/removing program obstacles, and resolving issues. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Neighborhood Clinics (UWNC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). In addition, UW Medicine shares in the ownership and governance of Children’s University Medical Group and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (a partnership between UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research, and Seattle Children’s). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You design, implement, and maintain impactful Unite programs by guiding complex ServiceNow projects.
You organize and coordinate program objectives, navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges.
You collaborate with department leaders and users to translate business requirements into actionable tasks that support the ServiceNow implementation.
You forecast and track the needs of stakeholder groups for more complex solutions.
You work with assigned stakeholder groups to develop requirements and build custom solutions for complex service requests.
You elicit and document requirements in the established form.
You document acceptance criteria.
You operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to assigned customers.
You translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
You participate in all aspects of improving the team, including education/training of other team members, and contributing to process/communication improvement initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
5+ years’ of overall experience to include the below.
5+ years of program management or consulting experience, with prior experience in ServiceNow implementation.
3+ years professional IT experience producing requirements for IT applications, systems, or services.
2+ years professional IT experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing ServiceNow systems and applications.
Demonstrated experience implementing and/or using Agile methodologies and managing development teams to deliver projects.
Demonstrated project or team leadership experience related to support of custom or vendor software for more complex technology solutions.
Exemplary customer service experience effectively working with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
Advanced experience using Microsoft Azure to manage complex solutions and support other analysts in standard solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of modern web design including accessibility, usability, browser compatibility, progressive enhancement, and release management.
Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer relationship management skills for a wide range of technical and non-technical staff, physicians, and medical staff. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is an Information Technology deadline-driven work environment.
The individual in this position is expected to work normal daytime hours. The work may be performed in either an office environment or by telecommuting with manager approval, during normal business hours; however, significant off-hours and weekends may be needed to resolve problems and respond to emergencies. This individual is expected to be available for emergencies (business continuity/disaster recovery efforts) on a 24x7 basis as needed.
Must coordinate projects without direct supervisory authority.
Must work within the constraints of multiple technical environments.
The individual in this position must learn many organizational structures and cultures and continually foster collaboration.
