  Role:

  Splunk IT is growing and seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer. Working alongside the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, you will contribute to the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk. As we embark on our ITSM Evolution Program and maturation of our CMDB we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer with solid skills and experience particularly in the areas of Configuration and Asset Management and their associated SNOW modules and capabilities.

  Responsibilities:

  Provides application ServiceNow development services and technical support

  Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications

  Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains ServiceNow

  Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components

  Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented

  Handles Incidents per published SLAs, ensures system stability by actioning required maintenance scheduled tasks, and addresses system issues impacting SLAs

  Implements ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web services

  Designs and develops a workflow framework that can be applied to many workflows, and continuing to seek new opportunities to improve our current manual processes

  Provides standard methodologies for guiding adoption and influencing the customer to make investments in the solution

  Helps define the services that ServiceNow delivers and gets alignment with customers on service definitions, SLAs and critical metrics

  Contributes to a ServiceNow roadmap that plans out investments in system maintenance, upgrade schedule, system improvements and additions to the ServiceNow ecosystem that aligns with the longer term goals and objectives of IT and SNOW’s customers

  Qualifications:

  4+ years of overall ITSM experience

  3+ years’ experience developing on the ServiceNow platform

  ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certification

  ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification

  ITIL V3 Foundation or above

  Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX

  Experience of one popular web framework - React, AngularJS

  Strong experience working with CMDB, and the Application Portfolio Management, SAM and HAM modules in ServiceNow, including managing CMDB health, integrations, Discovery and Service Mapping

  Ability to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and Rest Messages

  Experience integrating to multiple data sources used to populate the CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, and JSON as well as JDBC and file imports)

  Experience with standard methodologies of software development - logging, unit testing (ATF), code reviews, etc

  Advanced scripting experience applying best practice formatting and comments in Script Includes, Business Rules, etc

  Experience with upgrades and skipped update remediation

  Experience utilizing the Agile/Scrum methodology to define and deliver development work

  Excellent communication skills

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Solid understanding of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

  Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one of the OOTB ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.)

  ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications

  ITIL V4 certification

  Note:

  Base Pay Range

  Costa Rica

  Base Pay: CRC 26,400,000.00 - 36,300,000.00 per year

  Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
