Summary Description: Underthe direction of the Dining Room Supervisor, the Server is responsiblefor creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents and theirguests. Follows established order and style of service while serving inthe Main Dining Room and at special functions. Performs assigned sideduties. Follows all safety and sanitation rules and regulations.Responsible for clearing dishes, bussing and resetting tables. Maintainsa clean, neat appearance. Essential Functions: Demonstrates the abilityto courteously serve all residents and their guests, and answer anydining related questions. Offers specials and completes the order byasking appropriate questions to the customer in order to make their mealcomplete. Maintains Dining Room and work areas in a clean and orderlymanner at all times according to department standards as observed byrandom inspections. Handles all glassware and silverware in a safe andsanitary manner and resets table according to procedures. Assists otherdepartmental staff with assigned duties and training with or withoutverbal requests. Performs duties in an independent manner with minimalneed for direct supervision as observed by supervisor. Makes suggestionsfor improvement in food and service and participates in mandatory andregular meetings, provides input-feedback Work harmoniously andcooperatively within a team structure. Collaborating with co-workerswhile remaining positive and respectful at all times. This includesdelivering on resident and guest functions, activities and promotionsPreferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent PreferredExperience: Previous customer service of at least 6 months
