　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　This position manages Linux and Windows virtual servers and cloud-based infrastructure, supports specialized hardware, and manages vendor relationships. The position engages with clients and other members of the OneIT-Academic Affairs team to design, document, and execute technical solutions for the Career Center, Library, and Office of International Programs server and infrastructure needs.

　　Red Hat Linux and Windows server administration (deploying, configuring, upgrading, patching, backup management)

　　Management of document scanning, people counter, and kiosk hardware

　　Application support

　　Use security best practices in server administration and application development work

　　Minimum Experience / Education:

　　Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience managing Linux and/or Windows server environments.

　　Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

　　Some graduate-level education in related fields (computer science, library science, educational technology, digital humanities, etc).

　　Skills in management of Amazon AWS services, specifically EC2 and related functions.

　　Experience with database server administration (MySQL, Microsoft SQL or Oracle), specifically management of database replication.

　　Understanding of software development lifecycle.

　　Knowledge of higher education processes and/or experience working in a library environment.

　　Working skills of web-based application development (such as PHP , HTML , Javascript, CSS ).
