Job Summary - Senior Vice President of Finance
Corewell Health has an opportunity for a Senior Vice President of Finance . This is a dynamic executive role that is responsible for the operations for Corewell Health. The SVP of Finance will direct the group's structure, operation, and activities with the system CFO . This role will drive suggestions and/or changes to maximize revenues, profitability, and productivity for Corewell Health while a nalyz ing financial and statistical data to influence recommendations and changes. The SVP of Finance p rovides hands-on financial leadership to the group and to vice presidents responsible for the operations of the C orewell Health .
Essential Functions – Senior Vice President of Finance
Oversees operations and activities of departments within Corewell Health including financial planning and analysis, revenue management, reimbursement, benchmarking, cost accounting, budgeting, physician compensation, and others as designated.
Prepares and reviews Corewell Health financial and statistical reports for management and Board of Trustees with appropriate interpretation and analysis. Reporting should provide real time guidance regarding use of personnel, supplies, and core behaviors. Provides impactful and actionable reports on operational costs, expenses, and revenue. Provides individual physician and department productivity reports.
Plans and develops strategies to maximize cash flow, focusing on sound management of receivables, revenues, and expenditures. Plans, develops, and implements managed care strategies. Analyze the impact of changes made and projected impacts of proposed changes in systems and processes of clinical care. Conduct financial planning emphasizing risk/return evaluations.
Oversees the filing of annual cost reports and internal net revenue / reimbursement monitoring, ensuring compliance with Corewell Health consent decree regarding annual price increases.
Establishes Corewell Health budget policies / procedures and coordinates annual budget process and formal financial planning with leadership and System CFO. Administers price-setting policies and revenue enhancement practices and ensures continued soundness of system of internal controls consistent with accepted auditing standards. Provides support and review of physician compensation models.
Provides leadership and financial modeling for all acquisitions, properties, and practices for Corewell Health . Serves as a consultant and team player to leadership on financial matters. Participates in strategy planning and decision making for Corewell Health . Participates as an active member on system/community committees.
Assumes accountability for the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, performance monitoring, initiating /follow-through with disciplinary action and termination of leadership team / staff in consultation with Human Resources. Mentors/coaches and develops leadership team / staff and acts as a role model and resource to them.

Role Qualifications – Senior Vice President of Finance
Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance or Accounting , required .
Master's Degree Business Administration , preferred.
10 years of relevant experience leadership experience Required .
LIC-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan preferred .
