Schedule Details:This positionis a pool position working as needed. Both AM and PM shift availabilityis requested. AM shift hours start at 5:30am and end at 2:00pm. Midshift hours are 11:00am - 7:30pm. PM shift hours start at 2:00pm and endat 7:30pm. Every other weekend and a rotating holiday schedule arerequired. What You Will Do: The Dietetic Assistantperformsa variety of operational and clerical tasks to assure optimalnutritional care to patients, and acts as a communication link betweenhospital patients, nursing units and the Food and Nutrition ServicesDepartment. Responsibilities: Works with EMR (electronic medical record)and hospital room service system to get the most recent diet informationon each patient. Monitors EMR to make sure all food allergy informationhas entered the hospital room service system. Processes new diets andchages as required in a timely manner Promptly answers/responds to phonecalls/voice mail in order to accurately assist the caller Guidespatients on menu selection with regards to dietary restrictions Able totrack patient\'s carbohydrate counts and sodium levels based onprescribed dietary restrictions Ensures accuracy of room trays bychecking/read back selections to patients Updates pertienent menu andnoursihment orders with care and accuracy Is able to answer generalquestions on approved diets Notifies the Clinical Dietitian of patientswho have diet questions and/or who are not following...
