Support consistent underwriting best practices in accordance with underwriting guidelines to ensure rating, pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy. Execute strategic initiatives. Provide support and develop solutions to issues and concerns regarding systems, guidelines, trainings, reports, new project requests, and product amendments. Collaborate with Distribution, Territory Managers, and other lines of business underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities from brokers. Utilize daily reports and constant monitoring of adherence to underwriting requirements and guidelines to oversee assigned book of business. Keep abreast of developments in assigned territories to determine their effect on current accounts and potential new business opportunities. Work with management, the insured, brokers, and outside counsel on contract terms and conditions, as well as pricing, terms and conditions, and deal structures for complex risks. Develop long-term relationships with brokers and clients to profitably grow a book of business. Identify the need for and manage special underwriting projects. Work with financial statement comprehension; private, not for profit, and financial lines insurance underwriting; European insurance market facilitating the placement of foreign insurance policies for U.S. multinational corporations; risk management analysis to understand exposures of the insured; insurance contract analysis; and conducting financial analysis on the insured.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience with any job title/occupation/position involving: financial statement comprehension; private, not for profit, and financial lines insurance underwriting; European insurance market facilitating the placement of foreign insurance policies for U.S. multinational corporations; risk management analysis to understand exposures of the insured; insurance contract analysis; and conducting financial analysis on the insured.
