Within Microsoft's AI Platform organization, the AI Frameworks team makes Machine Learning (ML) practitioners and engineers more efficient through optimized libraries, tools, and communities.
The AI Frameworks team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to onboard customers to emerging AI accelerators in Azure such as AMD MI300X and Maia 100. Our team is responsible for building the software stack for these AI accelerators and optimizing them for advanced AI workloads. This role will work with teams across Microsoft and with external partners that are building leading edge LLMs and Generative AI models. You will leverage your passion for AI developer experience and performance optimization to work closely with engineering and deliver the SDKs, tools and processes to onboard customers and their models. This is the perfect role for a detail oriented and collaborative TPM that is passionate about the intersection of AI and silicon.

Responsibilities
Customer Engagement – Deeply engage with customers and partners to understand their stated and implied requirements. Our customers include developers, so engaging at the right techncial depth will be key. You will be responsible for gathering and clearly defining customer requirements and formalizing delivery priorities. Demonstrate good judgement and earn customer trust. You will need to drive for clarity and alignment with stakeholders using written narratives.
Execution – Drive development across multiple teams to land the right solution in the right timeframe. You will work with engineers to prioritize roadmaps, track work, and deliver functionality. Ensure all security obligations are fully met.
Communication & Leadership – Represent your team in internal forums and exec reviews. Lead the team by bridging multi-year silicon roadmaps with more rapidly changing AI workloads and software timelines.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product engineering, product/technical program management or product development
OR equivalent work experience.
2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
2+ years of experience in deep learning, machine learning and/or AI.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to work across organizations and deliver results.
Ability to work well with and articulate ideas to people: customers, engineers, executives.
Familiarity with SDKs for GPUs and other AI accelerators.
Experience creating tools for developers.
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
