Position: Senior Tax Manager

Location: Palo Alto (Hybrid 3 days- will be 4)

Salary: 240k + Bonus

Large Venture Capital Firm with an investment portfolio which primarily spans the technology and healthcare sectors and features involvement with companies in areas such as computer manufacturing, digital health industries, biotech, cybersecurity solutions, digital marketing, enterprise technology solutions, biopharmaceuticals, tech security, genome sequencing, chip-making, interactive media sharing platforms, and video-sharing websites.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing all aspects of the tax compliance lifecycle for both Investment Funds General Partner Entities and Management Company Entities.

Assist in the preparation and review of year-end tax workpapers and review investor K-1 packages.

Manage applicable annual foreign filings with external tax advisor and review federal and state tax returns.

Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure that 704(b) basis and tax capital accounts are properly maintained.

Prepare ad hoc tax analysis regarding specific investments as requested.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven high performer with strong organization and communication skills.

Exemplary work ethic along with a flexible and positive “can-do” attitude.

An innate desire to learn and willingness to take ownership of projects.

Experience in managing tax compliance and tax strategy planning.
