PositionOverview At Exact Sciences we are dedicated to eradicating cancerthrough early detection. The Senior Systems Software Engineer works withthe Systems Development team to design, develop, and test software usedin medical devices from concept to production. Additionalresponsibilities include the development of internal software tools anddatabases used in R&D, service, or quality control. Essential Dutiesinclude but are not limited to the following: Lead and participate inall aspects of the software development lifecycle. Translate productrequirements and quality system requirements into softwarespecifications and assist in defining the product requirements. Leadreview and create software design control documents with team input.Lead the architecture of software driven systems. Document softwaredesigns and systems using generally accepted notation such as UML.Maintain and improve the performance of existing software. Review anddebug highly complex software. Code complex software applications withassociated unit tests. Develop test strategies and execute test plans atmodule/unit and system levels. Develop test plans to ensure that productrequirements, quality system requirements, regulatory requirements, anddesign specifications have been met. Champion best practices for designand implementation of secure software. Communicate and disclose knownand potential security vulnerabilities. Create internal software toolsto enhance data analysis and data management productivity. Troubleshootcomplex system issues and failures. Provide technical leadership. Mentorjunior engineers and interns to develop their skills. Facilitatetraining of junior engineers on current software and softwaredevelopment practices. Work with external vendors to verify and validatesoftware and hardware platforms. Other duties as assigned. MinimumQualifications Bachelor\'s degree in software engineering or relatedfield. 6+ years of relevant industry experience. Authorization to workin the United States without sponsorship.
