AIX L3
Should have demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining IBM AIX environment. Experience in 5+ Years
Installing, Configuring, and maintaining AIX Servers.
Working experience with PowerVM/VIOS, HMC, Virtualization, LPM, NPIV, SAN-attached storage, NIM (Network Installation Manager)
Experience in pSeries Hardware commissioning and implementation.
Experience in VIOS server build and Administration.
Experience in HMC management and HMC upgrade tasks
Experience in HMC version 9&10 management and administration.
Strong knowledge in Power 8, Power 9 and Power10- pSeries configuration.
Experience in AIX Server build and configuration.
Expertise Knowledge in all the IBM pSeries technologies such as DLPAR, LPM, Virtual Networking, Virtual storage and SRIOV, VNIC adapters etc.
Experience in Storage management, HA concepts, SAN environment
AIX OS Administration and Kernal management.
AIX LVM management
Analysing resource utilization and performance tuning.
AIX Networking knowledge
Experience in OS Patching/ upgrade, VIOS Upgrade activities.
Experience in OS migrations AIX 6.1 to 7.1 and AIX 7.1 to 7.3
Experience in Storage Migration and Hardware migrations.
Deep understanding of IBM AIX and pSeries System functions.
Printer, NIS, NFS, Samba administration.
Strong in troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue.
Writing Shell/Perl scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning.
Certification on AIX(IBM System Administration, Hardware , Performance Tuning, Network Administration).
Able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Troubleshoot issues and outages.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Monitor performance and aintain systems according to requirements.
User administration (setup and maintaining account) Set up accounts and workstations and set up security policies for users, including password and identity management.
Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.
Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his / her tower Follow quality/security process defined for the engagement.
Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents, and work with respective teams/individuals to minimize the incidents, Hardware troubleshooting & Vendor coordination Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports.
Able to work on Knowledge acquisition and updates to related documents
The ability and patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
Manage network servers and technology tools
Ability to document system and changes.
Adhere to and support ITIL and Best Practices.
