PurposeYou will provide structural design and drafting services to Worley, and its customers and may provide technical support and supervision within the structural team.ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside senior engineers and designers you will independently perform tasks that typically include:*As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible to have a full understanding of the project's scope, overall schedule, deliverables, milestones, manhour budgets, industry standards, applicable codes, and procedures*Prepare structural steel and reinforced concrete drawings with minimal amount of supervision and engineering input*Developing a complete design drawing package for checking or checking the design drawing package*Interface with other disciplines in the development of the drawing package*Assist in the preparation of bills of materials*Work closely with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems*Be knowledgeable of client procedures, project procedures, and specifications*Identify and request information in the form of a 'Needs List' to maintain schedule*Utilize a 3D model (AVEVA E3D/Navisworks) review software to monitor design quality and progress*Review and approve deliverables prior to issue*Ensure deliverable verification procedures are followed*Read and interpret supplier drawings, construction specifications and schematics*Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
What you will bringTechnical and Industry Experience:
Extensive relevant experience in structural design for powers generation and industrial facilities is required, chemical facilities is a plus, with at least 2 years of AVEVA E3D experienceExperience with the application of MicroStation V8i & AutoCADMS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required2 years 3D model design review software experience using AVEVA E3DEffective technical and practical design skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its CustomersA good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fieldsFamiliarity with structural design codes including IBC, ACI, and AISC.Familiarity with MS Office: Word, Excel and Access.Team participation skillsSelf-motivated, organized, able to work independentlyStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, TrainingRequired:2 or 3 year technical diploma with structural design and drafting specific training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
