Job Summary
This position will support IT category management around the identification, development, and execution of the sourcing and procurement process. Key areas of focus will include needs analysis, sourcing options, decision support, general negotiation support and contract oversight. Additional focus includes cost reduction strategies, category strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and management. This position will assist in in leveraging market research and performing total cost analyses to support decision making.
This position is expected to support a high-performing procurement team in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment, responsible for providing input on complex categories of spend. This position will perform duties associated with category management including category definition, market intelligence, and development of supplier roadmaps and negotiation strategies. Fosters partnerships with suppliers and critical business stakeholders. This position will also be responsible for escalations pertaining to the facilitation of requirements, and contract drafting and negotiations.
Required Job Qualifications:
College Degree in Business or Finance, or 2 to 7 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated thought leadership
Ability to build strategic relationship with senior-level colleagues
Experience with conducting wide-ranging research.
Analytical skills to support and enhance procurement strategy and goals.
Ability to function in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations.
Clear, concise, and confident interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and skills to participate and be effective in contract negotiations with industry suppliers.
Strong multitasking capabilities
Knowledge of strategic sourcing principles.
Experience in project management and contract negotiation.
Experience developing presentations and presenting to management and other internal groups.
Effective Negotiating skills to reduce supplier base and to negotiate beneficial contracts
Clear, concise, and confident interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Effective, proven negotiation skills, experience rationalizing supplier base and negotiating beneficial contracts.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices
PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Job Qualifications:
3-6 years of analytical experience in a procurement, supply chain, or financial environment.
Knowledge of HCSC organization.
Knowledge of Business Process Outsourcing
Knowledge of Insurance industry
