About Senior Software Sales Executive - WERCS

  Under minimal supervision, the Senior Sales Executive is responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory.

  This position sells UL’s leading and comprehensive software tools and services for GHS SDS Authoring and Distribution, Retail and Industrial Manufacturing Supply Chain Compliance Solutions in the Japanese Chemical and related industries.

  This position will report directly to Japan Sales Director and work closely with software sales members to grow software business in the country market.

  Identifies and/or pursues prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling, on key industry players and referral program.

  Meets with prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process criteria, and their needs.

  Develops sales presentations for potential new clients. Leads the sales presentations in support of growing the clientele for ULs services.

  Responsible for meeting with and presenting to the highest profile/potential clients.

  Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.

  Focus on customer satisfaction, account growth, and sustaining customer loyalty.

  Identifies and resolves a wide range of issues with little or no supervision.

  Supports junior staff in the identification and evaluation of important customer information.

  University bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus minimum 8 years of experience in sales with prior sales force management experience.

  Experienced executive in B2B software, consulting, digital and technical solution sales to end customer.

  Prior experience in software/solution/services sales to the Chemical or related industries required, ideally with competence in compliance and regulatory topics. (Preferred)

  Strong technical and business foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, portfolio selling, and measurement.

  Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management and customers.

  Verbal and written communication skills in both Japan and English.

  Significant business travel and work outside of the office required.
