Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us. The Vision Pro Freeform Team is looking for an experienced software engineer to lead our efforts in collaboration and sync. As a senior member of our team, you will be instrumental in expanding and building the Freeform collaboration experience; an essential aspect of Freeform on Vision Pro and across the ecosystem. You will collaborate extensively with frameworks and systems teams across Apple to bring together cutting-edge collaborative and networking technologies and ship multi-user experiences that are at the core of Vision Pro.

  Key Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years experience shipping software of substantial scale and scope.

Strong experience in shipping code on Apple’s platforms (iOS/macOS/tvOS/watchOS).

Deep experience with Apple’s core programming languages (Objective-C, Swift) and application frameworks.

Experience building networked systems, real-time systems, or collaborative applications.

Experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming techniques

Ability to mentor and guide others.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deeply cross functional, and agile environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our team works at the intersection of visionOS and ecosystem-wide technologies, bringing users together through FaceTime and iCloud, in order to get things done with Freeform on Vision Pro! The ideal candidate for this position is excited about building on top of our latest technologies and shipping complex networked collaboration experiences at Apple-scale. You have deep expertise in shipping software of substantial complexity, and you have ideally built production networked or collaborative systems. You love proliferating your technical and procedural expertise while working within a dynamic team and on a new spatial computing platform. You are excited at the prospect of collaborating with stakeholders all across Apple to define, scope, and build the next generation of collaborative experiences on Vision Pro.

  Education & Experience

BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science OR equivalent experience.
