　　Job Description

　　Combine your passion for service excellence in the food and beverage industry with idyllic surrounds as a formal dining assistant server at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career within a luxury hotel environment.

　　Working collaboratively with servers on the floor to assist in carrying out service standards:

　　Anticipate guests’ needs & communicate with server on any additional menu ordering needs

　　Assist servers with collecting food orders from the kitchen, present to the guests in a timely, courteous & correct manner

　　Communicate with server & kitchen to ensure allergens & dietary restrictions are carried out properly

　　Maintain knowledge of all food & beverage items in a prompt & professional manner

　　Enhance revenue flow through suggestive selling techniques and proper follow-up

　　Assist servers with additional beverage taking & beverage/wine service at the table

　　Review and communicate with host team on reservations and assist with bussing and resetting of tables

　　Assist servers with table maintenance throughout service for a proper formal dining experience

　　Restock supplies, dishes & side stand duties ensuring mise en place

　　Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives 

　　Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives

　　Carry out any other tasks as assigned

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum 6 months food and beverage experience

　　Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions

　　Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

　　Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure

　　Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

　　You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
