As a Senior Software Engineer on the Azure Expansion team, you will be part of the Capacity Infrastructure Service (CIS) group, which is responsible for managing the capacity lifecycle from demand signals to hardware decommission. You will work on developing and enhancing the CIS platform to enable Azure's entry and growth in new markets and regulated industries, such as government, financial services, and healthcare. You will leverage data to drive insights and decisions on Azure's offerings, compliance, and customer adoption. You will design, implement, and test scalable, reliable, and secure microservices that automate and optimize Azure's service capacity operations. You will collaborate with other engineers, program managers, and partners across Azure and Microsoft to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and business goals.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience developing, debugging and testing software in C# and .NET.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
