　　Job Description for DB Tier Development Engineer (IC3) in Bangalore

　　Oracle Communications DB Tier software development team is seeking experienced software engineer. We are seeking candidates with 5 to 10 years of intensive Java development experience in a Linux environment and prior telecom or networking experience.

　　Location: PTP, Bangalore, India

　　About us:

　　DB Tier is the geo-diverse database layer built on MySQL Cluster CGE and offered as part of Oracle Communications Cloud Native Core (CNC) product portfolio. It supports High Availability and Geo Redundancy across multiple sites. CNC Network Functions are deployed in Cloud Native Environment and use DB Tier for state storage.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Design, develop, and unit test Oracle DB Tier software using Java programming, Spring Boot, Microservices on Linux platform and work/Co-ordinate/collaborate with global Oracle DB Tier Software Development and support team.

　　Support product verification team by troubleshooting reported issues and review escalated field issues. Write root cause analysis documents for field issues if necessary.

　　Participate in software design and design discussions to improve the software performance, maintainability, serviceability, and reliability and Coordinate with other teams within Oracle to understand use cases and be able to solve problems with generic, reusable software.

　　DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

　　The DB Tier team is currently seeking someone with 5 to 10 years of strong Java programming, Spring Boot, Microservices software engineering in a Linux environment. Prior telecom, networking and/or database experience is expected.

　　Bachelors or MCA equivalent engineering/computer science education spanning 4 years and strong command on spoken and written English.

　　Strong background on Linux and multithreaded programming and experience with relational database and SQL.

　　Working experience in following technologies is preferred: Kubernetes, Docker, Java Spring Boot, MySQL Database and Telecom domain, ansible.

　　Experience with telecom/networking protocol and protocol software development.

　　Ability to work directly from specification like IETF RFCs and 3GPPP TSs. and Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.

　　Experience with Linux based development tools and agile development methods is required.

　　Knowledge of software development methodology, build tools and product life cycle.

　　Excellent team skills, can-do attitude, focus on quality and drive to make a difference in a multifaceted, fast paced organization.
