The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM). The Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department follows the basic principles of Configuration Management. SWCM establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. SWCM provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products: embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and tools.
The SWCM department is looking for a full-time and on-site Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer, located in Dallas, TX
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Preparing CM planning documentation
• Managing the design, development, and maintenance of SW development environments
• Managing levels of SW integration and segregation of code into branches
• Controlling, managing, and integrating modules and components along with support work products
• Conducting Build Readiness Reviews
• Automating builds through scripting with the ability to evaluate and optimize existing build SW scripts
• Automating and executing build verification testing
• Performing interim and release builds
• Deploying / Installing software and perform environment audits
• Performing post SW build verification
• Generating SWCM metrics and perform audits of processes and policy compliance
• Supporting bids and proposal activities
• Maintaining product baselines and configuration status accounting documentation
• Supporting customer reviews, process improvements, user support and audits
• Meeting challenging deadlines and experience meeting short-turn and high-pressure deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience• Experience managing source control tools
• Experience and administering defect and change management software
• The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Security clearance and SAP clearances within 1 year of start.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:• Full Systems Level knowledge of the Configuration Management discipline
• Experience managing source control tools (Subversion, GIT, ClearCase, etc.) including ownership of source structure required for parallel releases
• Experience administering defect and change management software such as JIRA, Bitbucket, ClearQuest, etc.
• Experience creating build definitions with continuous integration using tools such as Git, Jenkins, etc. supporting multiple software development teams, interfacing with developers and test engineers as required. Archive builds and maintain build repositories for deployment to higher environments.
• Experience with scripting languages as Perl, Python, Unix shell scripting
• Development experience using C, C++ or Java

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
