Senior Security Engineer

　　As a Security Engineer within Rapid7's Information Security Team, you will be primarily positioned to collaborate closely with the Security Operations Team as well as other teams within InfoSec. The role will focus heavily on building and maintaining automation pipelines, dashboarding around various metrics within the organization, and designing new workflows and tools which aim to improve the efficiency of the organization. In essence, the SecEng Team is responsible for securely designing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of security solutions to meet the needs of the InfoSec organization.

　　Examples of responsibilities include:

　　Building data pipelines and dashboards around security metrics from a variety of sourcesManaging and improving our current SAST / DAST solutionImplementing and maintaining security log collections within our SIEMAutomating workflows using our SOAR platformStreamlining our vulnerability scanning and management programEvaluate, test, and implement new security tools / productsWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the organization's processes and systems

　　Experience with AWS Lambda / FargateExperience with both SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with moving / manipulating large datasetsExperience creating dashboard visualizations with TableauProficient in interacting with RESTful APIsProficiency in PythonStrong knowledge of security technologies and tools, such as SIEM, SOAR, and EDR solutionsAbility to solve complex problems while maintaining a primary focus on securityEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong teamwork and collaboration skillsCapable of working independently with minimal supervision
