Description We are in the Financial Services industry, located in Plymouth, Minnesota, United States, offering an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems, with a strong emphasis on Linux engineering. The role will involve working closely with our clients and internal teams to identify security risks and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain secure Linux-based systems, applying your strong background in Linux system administration.

• Understand and apply networking concepts including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routing.

• Execute tasks with comfort working with a terminal or command line on Linux.

• Demonstrate strong written communication skills.

• Script with shell/bash, python, PowerShell to automate tasks and improve system functionality.

• Utilize your experience with a SIEM (Splunk, Sumo Logic, LogRhythm, XSOAR/XSIAM) to monitor and analyze security events.

• Apply experience with next-gen firewalls including traffic inspection, application filtering, and monitoring.

• Implement knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, Eigrp, Firewall Technologies, Linux, Network Security, Firewall, Palo Alto Networks to ensure the security of our systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify and resolve security issues.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and security solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Cyber Security within the Financial Services industry

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

• Proficient with Checkpoint security systems

• Experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware and Configuration Management

• Experience in Design related to Cyber Security

• Proficiency with Eigrp and Firewall Technologies

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems

• Deep understanding of Network Security and Firewall systems

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks is a must

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications in Cyber Security will be an advantage

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a demanding environment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified country
