JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Safety Specialist - R-30010DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Senior Safety Specialist The Senior SafetySpecialist develops and implements safety-related programs and processesmeant to prevent injuries, fires, or other workplace accidents. Thisposition supports technical and cultural change in employee safety andwill be highly visible on the plant floor. This individual with beresponsible for driving safety at Cheese Processing facility in Spencer,WI with 300+ employees. Responsibilities: * Development andimplementation site-specific Safety Programs: Tracking Safety Brakes,fire extinguisher, safety shower and eyewash inspections, ordering andstocking PPE, conducting regular safety walk-through and identify anysafety hazards and make recommendations to make correct the hazard. *Report Plant Metrics: Maintain records of incidents (near miss, firstaid, recordable, etc.) and enter them into the EHS website. * Trackcompletion of Action Plans and encourage responsible persons to makeprogress. * Enter monthly EHS metrics into the EHS website and helpprepare monthly EHS reports. * Lead Incident Investigations - determineroot causes, gathers and analyzes statistics, makes recommendations forimprovements and report out. * Training: Creates and delivers safetytraining programs educating employees on safe working practices,appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures. * Trackrequired employee training and notify supervisors when employee trainingis incomplete. * Collect training material so it is available to othertrainers and enter quizzes and attendance sheets into a trainingrecord-keeping program. * Send routine communications to the EHSManager and staff regarding the status of training compliance.
